Hello, and welcome to my portfolio site. I am Dalton Hyde, a level designer and game designer currently living in Orlando. I am currently graduating from the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy at the University of Central Florida and I am looking to create levels wherever I go. I wanted to create a unique space where I can highlight my abilities and experience, as well as share it with potential employers, friends, and family.
- I love to learn. Every chance I get to learn a new skill or have a unique experience I take it, I believe that as humans, we can never have too much experience or have too many skills.
- I am very close to my family, and I believe that having close friends, family, and teammates helps us to form bonds with the people around us more easily.
- Being raised in Maryland naturally, my favorite team sport is lacrosse, which I played throughout my youth, even having opportunities to play internationally.
- One of my greatest passions is working with horses, particularly in the areas of eventing and dressage. I have been riding for over 19 years and I love every second spent with horses, especially with my Clydesdale, Hercules.
- Since moving to Florida in June of 2016, Scuba diving has become a large part of my life, and when I’m not riding or deving I’ll most likely be diving.
- Gaming! I have a burning passion for games of all kinds though action-adventure games with a well-developed narrative are my favorite to both play and develop.
- I believe that life is meant to be lived, and we should enjoy what we do and always give 100% effort to anything we do.
- I have a strong nurturing personality, which allows me to work well and support others, and makes it easy for me to focus on the user’s experience when designing.
- My goal as a person is to make the world a happier place, and I believe that I can achieve this through the development of incredible games, stories, and levels.
- I truly love designing levels, I hope to do this for the rest of my life.
